About this cabinet

  • Soft-close hinges
  • Real paint finish
  • Box goes together by hand
  • Flat packed

A corner sink base with one door and a false drawer front. The CSB36 turns the corner of an L or U shaped kitchen and puts the sink there.

Size. 36 inches wide, 34 1/2 inches high and 23 1/2 inches deep.

In the carton. 1 door and 1 false drawer front, with the box shipped flat.

Construction. A plywood box with a solid wood face frame and a full overlay door on concealed soft-close hinges. The Studio door is a slim-rail shaker.

Finish. Caviar, a real painted near black. Real paint and stain only, never paper, thermofoil or melamine.

Assembly. The box goes together by hand in under 2 minutes on a licensed system, no glue, no nails. Anything wood-to-wood clicks together, no tools, no glue, no screws. The only parts that need screws are the metal ones: hinges, drawer glides and pulls. Fixing it to the wall takes a drill.

Where it goes. In the corner of a lower run, when the sink belongs in the corner rather than on a straight wall. Order it in Studio Caviar with the rest of the run so the door style and finish match.

The carcass locks together by hand with the SnapCore system, no metal connectors. Anything wood-to-wood clicks together, no tools, no glue, no screws. A box clicks together in under 2 minutes, about 10x faster than traditional RTA architecture. The only parts that need screws are the metal ones: hinges, drawer glides and pulls. The box greatly exceeds industry standards.

Questions about sink bases

How do I measure for a sink base?

Measure from the starting corner of the wall to the center of the drain and of each water line, and the height of each off the floor. The sink base is cut around the plumbing, so the drain position decides where it goes in the run.

What size sink base do I need?

The sink base needs to be at least as wide as the sink bowl plus the cabinet sides; the sink maker's sheet gives the minimum cabinet. Sink bases come 24 to 42 inches wide, farm sink bases 30, 33 and 36 inches, and a 36 inch sink base is the usual home for a double bowl.

How do I cut the sink base for the plumbing?

Build the box first. Mark the drain and supply positions from the wall onto the back before you drill anything, then cut with the box supported so the panel cannot flex. Dry fit it against the rough-in before it goes anywhere near the wall.

Where does the dishwasher go?

Next to the sink base. Most dishwashers need a 24 inch wide opening under the counter, and where the dishwasher sits at the end of a run, a 24 inch dishwasher return panel finishes the exposed side.

How long does it take to put together?

A box clicks together on the SnapCore system in under 2 minutes, about 10x faster than traditional RTA cabinets built with metal connectors, dowels and glue. Anything wood-to-wood clicks together, with no tools, no glue and no screws. Only the metal parts need screws: hinges, drawer glides and pulls.
