About this cabinet

  • Plywood box
  • Solid wood face frame
  • Soft-close hinges
  • Real paint finish
  • 100% tool-free box assembly
  • Flat packed

A 24 inch sink base with two doors and a false drawer front. The SB24 keeps the space under the sink open for the bowl, the trap and the supply lines. The top of the face carries a false front, so the run reads as continuous drawers.

Size. 24 inches wide, 34 1/2 inches high and 24 inches deep. The standard base cabinet height and depth, so it lines up with the run on both sides.

In the carton. 2 doors and 1 false drawer front, with the box shipped flat.

Construction. A plywood box with a solid wood face frame and full overlay doors on concealed soft-close hinges. The Sterling door is a classic shaker with a wider frame.

Finish. Alabaster, a real painted warm off white. Real paint and stain only, never paper, thermofoil or melamine.

Assembly. The box goes together on a licensed click-together system: 100% tool-free box assembly, no cam locks. Anything wood-to-wood clicks together, no tools, no glue, no screws. The only parts that need screws are the metal ones: hinges, drawer glides and pulls. Fixing it to the wall takes a drill.

Where it goes. Under the kitchen sink. Check the sink and its drain position against the cabinet width before ordering. Order it in Sterling Alabaster with the rest of the run so the door style and finish match.

Questions about sink bases

How do I measure for a sink base?

Measure from the starting corner of the wall to the center of the drain and of each water line, and the height of each off the floor. The sink base is cut around the plumbing, so the drain position decides where it goes in the run.

What size sink base do I need?

The sink base needs to be at least as wide as the sink bowl plus the cabinet sides; the sink maker's sheet gives the minimum cabinet. Sink bases come 24 to 42 inches wide, farm sink bases 30, 33 and 36 inches, and a 36 inch sink base is the usual home for a double bowl.

How do I cut the sink base for the plumbing?

Build the box first. Mark the drain and supply positions from the wall onto the back before you drill anything, then cut with the box supported so the panel cannot flex. Dry fit it against the rough-in before it goes anywhere near the wall.

Where does the dishwasher go?

Next to the sink base. Most dishwashers need a 24 inch wide opening under the counter, and where the dishwasher sits at the end of a run, a 24 inch dishwasher return panel finishes the exposed side.

How long does it take to put together?

A box clicks together on the licensed SnapCore system in under 2 minutes, about 10x faster than traditional RTA cabinets built with cam locks, dowels and glue. Anything wood-to-wood clicks together, with no tools, no glue and no screws. Only the metal parts need screws: hinges, drawer glides and pulls.
