Studio Snow 42" Single Door Blind Base Cabinet
Item code BBC42Dimensions 42″ W x 34½″ H x 24″ D
$234.99
per cabinet, flat packed
A blind corner base cabinet with a door and a drawer: a 36 inch box that fills 42 to 45 inches of wall. The BBC42 runs into the corner where two lower runs meet. Part of the box sits blind behind the cabinet that crosses it, so the corner becomes storage rather than dead space.
Each finish is a separate cabinet. Choosing one takes you to it.

Size. The box is 36 inches wide, 34 1/2 inches high and 24 inches deep. The 42 in BBC42 is the wall it uses, not the box: it fills 42 to 45 inches of wall, with the box set 6 to 9 inches off the corner at install, so the same cabinet works as a left or a right blind corner. The standard base cabinet height and depth, so it lines up with the run on both sides.
In the carton. 1 door, 1 drawer and 1 shelf, with the box shipped flat.
Construction. A plywood box with a solid wood face frame, a 3/4 inch plywood shelf, a 5/8 inch solid wood dovetail drawer box on soft-close, full-extension glides, and a full overlay door on concealed soft-close hinges. The Studio door is a slim-rail shaker.
Finish. Snow, a real painted cool near white. Real paint and stain only, never paper, thermofoil or melamine.
Assembly. The box goes together on a licensed click-together system: 100% tool-free box assembly, no cam locks. Anything wood-to-wood clicks together, no tools, no glue, no screws. The only parts that need screws are the metal ones: hinges, drawer glides and pulls. Fixing it to the wall takes a drill.
Where it goes. The corner of an L or U shaped lower run. Allow for the door and pulls to clear the cabinet next to it. Order it in Studio Snow with the rest of the run so the door style and finish match.

Questions about base cabinets
How tall and deep is a base cabinet?
Base cabinets are 34 1/2 inches tall and 24 inches deep. A standard 1 1/2 inch countertop puts the counter at about 36 inches. This cabinet's exact width, height and depth are in its specification on this page.
What is this cabinet made of?
A plywood box with a solid wood face frame, 3/4 inch plywood shelves where the cabinet has them, and full overlay doors on concealed soft-close hinges. Every finish is real paint or real stain, never paper, thermofoil or melamine.
How long does it take to put together?
A box clicks together on the licensed SnapCore system in under 2 minutes, about 10x faster than traditional RTA cabinets built with cam locks, dowels and glue. Anything wood-to-wood clicks together, with no tools, no glue and no screws. Only the metal parts need screws: hinges, drawer glides and pulls.
What if my run does not come out to an exact cabinet width?
It rarely does. Base cabinets step mostly in 3 inch widths, so the leftover inches go into a filler, usually 1 1/2 to 3 inches where a cabinet meets a wall, ripped to width on site. That also lets doors and drawers open past the wall and the next run.
How do I install base cabinets?
Find the high point of the floor, draw a level line at 34 1/2 inches and mark the studs. Hang the wall cabinets first, then set the bases from the same corner, shim each one level to the line, screw it to the studs and screw neighboring face frames together.
