About this piece

  • Real paint and stain only
  • Matches the cabinets

A light rail molding in Wood Ridge. A finished molding for the underside of the wall cabinets, which gives the bottom edge a finished line and hides under-cabinet lights.

Size. 96 inches long.

In the carton. 1 length.

Finish. Wood Ridge, a warm blonde, with the wood grain showing through. The same finish as the Wood Ridge cabinets, so it matches them in every door style that comes in Wood Ridge. Real paint and stain only, never paper, thermofoil or melamine. Wood grain is never uniform, so expect it to vary from panel to panel.

Fitting it. Molding is cut and fitted on site, against the cabinets you actually hung. Measure each run before you cut.

Where it goes. Along the bottom of the wall cabinets.

Questions about trim and panels

Does this piece match the cabinets?

Yes. Trim, fillers and panels come in the same finishes as the cabinets, so order the piece in the finish of the run it goes on.

Is trim cut to size?

On site. Fillers are ripped to width, panels and fillers are scribed to the wall, and molding is cut to length and mitered at the corners. Cut each piece against the run you actually built, never against the drawing.

How many fillers and panels do I need?

Plan a filler, usually 1 1/2 to 3 inches, wherever a cabinet meets a wall or an inside corner, and a finished panel on every cabinet side you can see. A free design lists every filler, panel and toe kick for you.

Does crown molding need anything else?

Yes. Each crown piece needs one crown molding extension (CME) in the same finish: five crown pieces take five CMEs. The crown product page and the cart add the matching CMEs in one click.

What tools do I need to fit trim?

A fine tooth saw or a miter saw, a brad nailer or finish nails, construction adhesive for toe kick, and a tape measure. Fit trim last, after the cabinets are level and fixed.
